THE DIGESTIVE CLARITY ASSESSMENT
EATING SHOULDN’T FEEL LIKE DETECTIVE WORK
You finish a meal and wait to see what happens.
Will your stomach swell up again? Will you need to unbutton your jeans by mid-afternoon? Will your energy disappear, or will you spend the rest of the day wondering when you’ll finally be able to go to the bathroom?
Then the investigating begins.
Was it the bread? The dairy? The coffee? Did you eat too much fibre—or not enough? Maybe you need a different probiotic. Maybe you should remove another food.
You’ve tried to figure this out. But every time the symptoms return, you’re left wondering what you missed.
You don’t need another person telling you to “eat healthier.”
You need someone to listen to the whole story, help you recognize what keeps repeating and show you where it makes sense to begin.
THE DIGESTIVE CLARITY ASSESSMENT
A private, personalized assessment to help you understand the patterns surrounding your digestive symptoms, what deserves attention first and which questions may need to be taken to your healthcare provider.
Seasonal introductory rate: $175 CAD
Includes a private 60-minute Zoom assessment and your personalized Digestive Clarity Plan.
Only four assessment spaces are available.
IT MAY START WITH BLOATING. BUT IT DOESN’T ALWAYS END THERE.
When your digestion is unpredictable, it can take over more of your day than anyone realizes.
You choose clothes based on whether your stomach might swell. You avoid eating before going out. You turn down foods you once enjoyed because you don’t know how your body will react.
And then there are the symptoms that don’t appear to be digestive at first.
You may feel exhausted after lunch, struggle to think clearly in the afternoon or crave something sweet even though you ate an hour ago. Your mood may change when your stomach is at its worst. Your skin may flare at the same time your digestion does.
That doesn’t mean every symptom begins in your gut.
It does mean we shouldn’t automatically assume they have nothing to do with one another.
Digestion determines how food is broken down, how nutrients become available to your body and how waste moves through your intestines. When food intake, digestion or bowel function is affected, energy and concentration can be affected too.
That is why I look beyond a list of foods and ask what is happening before, during and after you eat.
YOUR GUT AND BRAIN ARE TALKING TO EACH OTHER
You already know that your mind can affect your stomach.
You feel anxious and lose your appetite. Stress builds and suddenly you’re constipated. You have an important meeting and need to find a bathroom.
But that conversation doesn’t only travel from the brain to the gut.
Your digestive tract communicates with your brain through nerves, hormones, immune signals and compounds produced by intestinal microbes. It is also home to one of the body’s largest and most active immune environments.
This doesn’t mean anxiety, depression or low mood can be blamed on the gut. Mental health is far more complex than that, and digestive support does not replace mental-health care.
But if low mood, brain fog or anxiety exists alongside bloating, reflux, constipation or diarrhea, your digestive health deserves a place in the conversation.
“MAYBE THIS IS JUST MY AGE.”
Maybe you’ve wondered whether bloating, fatigue, brain fog or slower bowel movements are simply part of getting older.
Age can change digestion, hormones, muscle, appetite and nutrient needs. But it shouldn’t be used to dismiss everything you’re experiencing.
Low energy could exist alongside constipation, not eating enough, disrupted sleep, medication effects or a deficiency in nutrients such as iron or vitamin B12.
Feeling painfully full after a small meal is different from having a healthy appetite.
Going several days without a bowel movement isn’t something you have to accept because you’re getting older.
And regularly feeling exhausted after eating is worth looking at.
Your age is part of your health story. It isn’t the entire explanation.
DO YOU NEED A COMPREHENSIVE GUT PANEL
OR BREATH TEST?
Maybe—but not everyone needs to begin there.
Before you spend hundreds of dollars on testing, we need to know what question we’re trying to answer.
A detailed intake and a three-day food, symptom and bowel record can already tell us a lot:
When your symptoms appear
Whether eating or having a bowel movement changes them
How often you go to the bathroom and what your stool is like
Whether you’re eating enough food, protein or fibre
Whether certain foods repeatedly show up before symptoms
How meal size, timing and eating speed affect you
Whether a medication or supplement could be contributing
Whether sleep, stress or your menstrual cycle changes what you experience
Whether there are symptoms that should be taken to your physician
MORE TESTING DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN MORE ANSWERS
You can spend hundreds of dollars on a comprehensive stool panel or breath test and still be left wondering what the results have to do with the way you feel.
A test captures one piece of information. It doesn’t show how your symptoms change throughout the day, what happens after meals, how often your bowels move, whether you’re eating enough or how medications, supplements, sleep and stress may be affecting your digestion.
Comprehensive testing isn’t always necessary, and more data doesn’t automatically lead to better recommendations.
A detailed assessment allows us to look at what is happening in your real life, recognize what keeps repeating and make practical decisions based on your individual experience.
For many people, that is far more useful than beginning with an expensive report.
THIS ASSESSMENT IS FOR YOU IF:
You wake up feeling fine but look several months pregnant by afternoon.
You go days without a bowel movement—or never know what your bowels will do next.
You feel so tired after eating that you want to lie down.
You struggle with reflux, nausea, early fullness or discomfort after meals.
You’ve removed gluten, dairy or other foods but still don’t understand what triggers your symptoms.
You’ve tried probiotics, digestive enzymes or fibre supplements without knowing whether they are right for you.
You experience brain fog, low energy, changes in mood or skin concerns alongside digestive symptoms.
You’re considering expensive testing but want clearer direction before investing more money.
You’re ready to stop throwing supplements at symptoms and find out what deserves your attention first.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
Before we meet
You’ll complete a detailed digestive-health questionnaire and a three-day food, symptom and bowel record.
You can also share your current medications, supplements and any recent test results you already have.
I’ll review everything before your appointment. That means we won’t spend the first half of our time together collecting basic information that I could have read beforehand.
During our 60-minute Zoom appointment
We’ll go through your story together.
We’ll talk about when the symptoms began, what was happening around that time, what makes them better or worse and what you’ve already tried.
We’ll look at how often you eat, whether you’re eating enough, how your bowels are moving, what happens after meals and whether medications or supplements could be adding to the problem.
Then we’ll decide which two or three areas make the most sense to work on first.
You won’t leave with 20 recommendations, an automatic elimination diet or a shopping list of supplements.
You’ll leave knowing where to begin.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Your Digestive Clarity Assessment includes:

One brief written check-in after two weeks
Your plan will explain what I noticed, what I recommend doing first and what may need further investigation.
WHY BEGIN HERE?
Because removing another food won’t necessarily tell you why you’re bloated.
Buying another probiotic won’t tell you whether constipation, meal timing, food intake or a medication is contributing.
And ordering the largest available panel won’t automatically tell you what to do with the results.
We begin with you—not with a test.
Your symptoms. Your food. Your bowel habits. Your health history. What you have already tried and how your body responded.
That gives us a far more useful place to start than choosing another product based on one symptom.
YOU DON’T NEED ANOTHER GUESS
You’ve already spent enough time trying to work this out on your own.
Let’s look at what keeps happening, decide what deserves attention first and create a plan you can realistically follow.

FAQs
❓ “Is laboratory testing included?”
Laboratory testing isn’t always the best first step. Your symptoms, food patterns and health history can already show us where to begin and whether further investigation may be useful.
❓ “Will I have to remove more foods?”
Not automatically. Removing several foods at once can make it harder to understand what is helping and may leave you eating less than your body needs. Any recommendation will be based on your information rather than a standard elimination list.
❓ “What if I already have test results?”
You can share recent results as part of your intake. We can consider them alongside your nutrition and digestive history, while medical diagnosis and treatment remain with your healthcare provider.
❓ “What if digestion isn’t my only concern?”
If sleep, blood-sugar regulation, hormones, fatigue or several other concerns are equally important, the Complete Health Deep Dive may be a better fit.
